OUR SERVICES

Intensive In-Home Counseling

Qualified counselor work with clients ages 6-21 with significant emotional or behavioral distress and their families to establish a stable, healthy home environment.

Counselors provide intense therapeutic counseling and case management services to attain individualized goals. Each counselor is required to spend a minimum of six hours per week with each family to achieve these goals.

Mental Health Skill Building

Training and support to enable individuals with significant functional limitations to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate lease restrictive environment. While there is no age restriction for this service the treatment focus is on assisting the client with independent living skills and is therefore appropriate for older adolescents and adults.

Client eligibility will be based on a mental health diagnosis (Diagnostic Assessment). Individuals may have a dual diagnosis or either mental illness or substance abuse disorder. In order to qualify and individual must display a clinical need for the service arising from mental, behavioral, or emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities.

Counseling & Music

Research has shown music to be a healthy and creative outlet for expression. We believe music is an exciting an d innovative component in addressing the needs of our clients. We utilized this proven method to improve youth abilities to express themselves and cope with hardships.

Eligibility

Participants must qualify for Virginia Medicaid or an approved insurance plan and exhibit specific difficulties on a continuing or intermittent basis. Additionally, at least one parent whom the child is living with must be willing to participate with Intensive In-Home Services, with the primary goal of keeping the child with the family.
